Oz Part 2
Saturday, October 4th, 2014
It was a long trip home… But very much worth it. We made a quick stop for one night in Honolulu on the way home. The beaches and waves were awesome.
Oz was lovely. It takes so long to get in the groove and once you do, it seems like you have to leave again. We mostly stayed close to Brisbane, but had a couple of fun adventures. We made a stop in the Bunya Mountains, a gorgeous town in the bush were there are more parrots and wallaby’s than people. The girls and James loved all the animals. Thanks for the beautiful photos Grandpa Craig!
We spent a lot of time on beaches close to Brisbane. Redcliff, Bribie Island and we ventured down to the Gold Coast for a long weekend with Brendan’s closest friends for a celebration of their 4oth B-days. I wish I took more pictures, but I was in relaxation dreamland. I had the best 30 minutes of my trip swimming with James in the ocean. I have never laughed so hard trying to catch waves. The following days saw an influx in blue bottles so it was hard to get as excited swimming when on the constant lookout for those pesky blue bubbles. The beaches were just gorgeous though…
We spent a lot of time at Grandma and Grandpa’s house. Page is obsessed with fashion and designing clothes so Grandpa took us to the fabric store to pic out some projects. Page got the Elsa cape she always wanted. She also picked out fabric for a dress that Grandma made. Grandma was bust sewing even before we got there with Sienna’s Halloween outfit (more on that later).
We had a lot of fun catching up with all the relatives. I asked Page what her favorite part of the trip was and she said her cousin James. I asked her what Sienna’s favorite part was and she said her cousin George. Its so nice to see the cousins together. Our last night was spent celebrating Brendan’s 40th w/ the family… Where has the time gone…
