Basement Reno
Sunday, November 23rd, 2014
The renovations to the basement are coming along nicely. The walls and ceilings needed 500 pounds of mud to make them smooth, they were in bad shape! We took out all the old floors and the concrete is in pretty bad shape, too. We are going to level out and refinish the concrete in a sand color. The tile guys are coming next week to get started on the bathroom. We are going with a subway tile look. Brendan is refinishing the spiral stairs and it looks great! The steps were sanded down to a pretty blond color. When tile and concrete are done we will prime and paint and install the new fir doors and closets. We had someone make a few new cabinets that we will paint over. We were running low on storage. Its looking great! Should be done by Dec. 19th for our first visitor from Oz!
First of day of demo
Monday, November 10th, 2014
Today we start demo on the entire first floor of our house! This floor is where our guest bedroom and bathroom are. It also has an awkward area where the spiral stairs come down. Then leading into the house we are making a nicer mudroom and blocking off a wall that leads to a very creepy crawl space. The whole floor is very 1960’s and has a certain smell to it. We are so excited to make it look more up to date!
First Day of Daycare
Wednesday, November 5th, 2014
Sienna started her first day at Treehouse Daycare. She will be going 2 days a week until next fall and then 3 days a week. It has been getting hard to “work from home” so it was time to put her into a program, sniff, sniff… She was not too happy when we left. I hope she gets used to it soon, being around other kids will be so good for her. Gotta go pick her up!
Happy Halloween!
Saturday, November 1st, 2014
Los Gatos does Halloween in a big way. We took Baby Jaguar and Elsa down to Tait Street for some trick or treating and the girls had a blast. They block off the street and all of the houses get super spooky. Thanks to Grandma Anne for the awesome Baby Jaguar costume, Sienna didn’t want to take it off! Also, Grandma Anne made the super special Elsa cape. They were adorable!!
